Australia, who lost to South Africa on October 12 at Lucknow during their opening ODI World Cup match of 2023, will have another chance at redemption on November 16 when they play Allan Border and his Kolkata side at their inaugural ODI World Cup under Allan Border’s guidance in 1981. Australia would win its inaugural tournament under him!
If Pakistan finishes fourth on the league table, its location and date for the second semifinal could change accordingly.
Suppose Pakistan doesn’t reach the last four. In that case, India will face New Zealand, Afghanistan, or the Netherlands on November 15 at Wankhede Stadium, and Australia will meet South Africa on November 16.
