After UP Police, UPPSC RO/ARO Exam Cancelled Due to Paper Leak

UPPSC RO/ARO Exam Cancelled: The Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh, after yet another paper leakage, has cancelled the exam for Review Officer (RO) & Assistant Review Officer (ARO) at the State Public Service Commission.

The exam was held on February 11. 10.7 million youths participated in the examination to fill 411 vacancies.

Acting on the evidence and report of the Commission, the chief minister has ordered a cancellation and re-examination. The STF has also been given the task of identifying and prosecuting individuals who were involved in criminal activity related to the exam leak.

Meanwhile, students protesting for fairness have continued to demand the cancellation of the RO/ARO exams. Students hold placards to call for a new examination.

The Yogi Government also canceled the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination because of paper leaks.

At least one candidate committed suicide after the chief Minister announced on March 2 that the exam would be canceled and that he directed officials to conduct a retest 6 weeks later.

TrendsMyth article citing her family reported that a 22-year-old woman committed suicide at her home in the Firozabad district of the state on March 2 after hearing the news about the cancellation of the examination scheduled for February 11.

According to the news report, her “family claimed she was depressed because she had failed to obtain a government position despite numerous attempts due to a paper leak in both the UP RO/ARO and constable exam.”

Just a week earlier, the state government had cancelled the police constable exam due to a paper leak. The examination, which was held on February 17-18, was cancelled following a large protest by students in Lucknow who demanded a retest.

According to news reports, the UP Police special task force has arrested two people in connection with the leakage of the exam papers for police constables.

The opposition Samajwadi Party and the Congress have criticised the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party for attempting to manipulate students’ futures by offering them government jobs. The BJP was asked to investigate why the question papers for all major examinations held in UP are being leaked.

There were also allegations of leakage in the recently held Class 12 exam by the State Board, which sent shockwaves throughout the educational community.

Social media made the maths and biology papers available within an hour of the exam. The state board denied that there was a paper leak because they were released after the exam began.

A college in Agra was found to be responsible for the leak of these papers through a WhatsApp group. Since then, the board has de-recognized this institution.

The issue of exam papers being leaked in the state ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party has become a major political topic.

Priyanka Vadra, the leader of the Congress, reacted to the news reports about the leakage of board examination papers on March 2 by saying, “Paper was leaked again.” Why?

Almost every exam paper, from board exams to job exams, is leaked under BJP rule. Children face their first challenge when building their future in board exams.

What will they do if such a betrayal occurs to them here? The BJP also shatters the foundations of millions of children and young people to save the examination mafia and corrupt government officials.

UPPSC Creates A Three-Member Probe Commission

The UPPSC formed a three-member commission under pressure from candidates to investigate the allegations of paper leak.

According to sources, the main objective of the investigation committee is to determine whether the allegations of a paper leak are true and how they can affect the upcoming UPPSC Main RO/ARO examination scheduled for July 28.

The investigative committee also aims to determine the source of the data breach with a particular focus on the selection of exam venues. Candidates who allege irregularities have questioned this aspect.

The allegation of the paper leak is not true despite the Commission’s authority to designate exam centres under the jurisdiction of district magistrates.

In many districts, the influence of private school administrators and district magistrates results in the neglect of government and government-aided colleges.
