Atal Bihari Vajpayee Birthday: PM Modi Gives Tribute At Sadaiv Atal

Today is December 25, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will mark Atal Bihari Vajpayee birth anniversary with various events across India to mark his 99th birthday anniversary.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) on December 25, 1924, and was three times elected Prime Minister.

JP Nadda, national president of the BJP, has requested all state and party presidents in India to place floral tributes at Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s portrait and discuss his fantastic personality and achievements.

At each booth, there will be innovative programs honouring Vajpayee’s poetry. One of six booth-level programs hosted by the party to commemorate Vajpayee’s birth anniversary will also take place.

Every booth would host a discussion among beneficiaries on government schemes, achievements, and good governance practices.

Every district would participate in a dialogue about the plans and achievements of both the central government and those of the BJP-dominated state governments in terms of good governance for poor people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Sadaiv Atal Memorial.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25. He went on to become one of the leading figures of his party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He held this office from 1996-99.

On April 13, PM Modi posted on social media platform X: “On behalf of all family members in this nation, I offer my deepest respects to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vasjpayee for being committed to nation building throughout his life. On his birth anniversary.”

PM Modi noted, with tears in his eyes, how “his devotion and service to Mother India will remain an inspiration, even into eternity.

Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, commented to PTI that Atal Vajpayee demonstrated as Prime Minister the value of stable governments and that this tradition continues today.

Yogi once described Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the “Ajat Shatru” of politics, having an impressive ability to navigate both favourable and challenging circumstances with ease.

This year is also significant as it marks Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s centenary; he was born on December 25, 1924. According to him, many programs will take place throughout the year, with a big celebration planned on December 25, 2024. On this particular occasion, Chief Minister Sahil Advani honoured a number of personalities.

Vajpayee was an influential political leader in India known for his eloquent speeches and profound wisdom.

Atal Bihari made his political debut in 1957 by becoming one of India’s youngest legislators. He was later responsible for leading the BJP to victory in the general elections in 1996.

Vajpayee’s third term as prime minister was notable for the stability of his government, which served its full mandate without interruption – a first in non-Congress history.

Vajpayee was known for his extraordinary oratory and was widely respected as an exceptional politician and statesman. Following an initial 15-day stint as Prime Minister in 1996, he made a successful comeback two years later to hold onto power until 2004.

Atal Bihari’s Centenary Celebration

Yogi Bhajan spoke at the Atal Geet Ganga Program held on the eve of Atal B. Vajpayee’s birth anniversary and claimed he had laid the groundwork for programs aiding poor people and significant infrastructure projects while also garnering global recognition and honour for India.

On January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Ram, embodying all of Atal Bihari’s values and ideals.

It is an extraordinary coincidence that this year also marks Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s centenary – born on December 25, 1924!

To commemorate this landmark event, many programs are planned throughout 2024 leading up to December 25, when there will be a grand celebration. Furthermore, several personalities were recognized on that occasion.

The Chief Minister noted that Atal Geet Ganga marked the start of an ambitious year-long program to commemorate Atal Bihari’s centenary celebration.

Grand events will be organised across development blocks (gram panchayat), districts, committees, colleges, Universities, Assemblies, and states across India to mark this occasion.
