PK 2: The Bollywood movie PK was the talk of the town in 2014 when it was released. Aamir and Anushka Sharma’s blockbuster was hailed as a success due to its provoking storyline and stellar cast.

Aamir Khan’s character, played by Ranbir Kapoor, returns to Earth as an alien at the movie’s end. He has a friend with him, also played by Ranbir. The audience wondered if the actor Ranbir Kapoor would be the main protagonist of the much-discussed sequel.

MID-DAY reported that while there was little buzz about the sequel, Rajkumar Hirani finally confirmed it. The Munna Bhai director told the publication: “We will do the sequel.

The film ended with Ranbir’s character (Kapoor) landing on a planet, so we have a story. Abhijat Joshi [the writer] still needs to write it. “The day he writes, we’ll make it.”

Hirani said, “We’re not in it to make money. We’re in it to make cinema.” If money were our goal, we would have produced six to seven [installations of] Munna Bhai and two to three [editions] of PK by now. We prefer joy, peace, and happiness over a few lakhs.

Hirani previously directed Ranbir in Sanju, which was released in 2018. It was a box-office hit. When asked in the same year about a PKsequel, he said: “At the end of the script, no one was happy with Aamir’s decision to leave the planet.” We decided to have PK and another native of his planet return to Earth.

PK 2 Release Date

The first part of PK was released on 10 December 2014 and was a blockbuster. PK has earned more than 700 crores. Now Rajkumar Hirani is ready to produce PK 2. The PK 2 Movie release date is in late 2025.

We all remember that PK ended with a cameo where Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan landed on Earth. He seemed curious to explore Earth but was warned by Aamir. The sequel will continue the story from that point and focus on Ranbir Kapoor’s journey.

Vidhu Chopra confirmed this surprising news but also revealed that the script for the film still needed to be completed. Vidhu told Mid Day that “we will make the sequel.” The film ended with Ranbir Kapoor’s character arriving on the planet, so we have a story. Abhijat Joshuai, the author, hasn’t written it yet. We will produce it the day he finishes writing it.

If all goes according to plan, this will be the second collaboration between Ranbir Singh and Rajkumar Hirani following Sanju. Aamir or previous cast members like Anushka or Boman are not confirmed to be in the sequel.

PK broke records in India and other international markets, including China. In addition to the late actors Sushant Rajput, Sanjay Dutt, and Boman Iraniani, this film featured other important actors.
