UPSC Exam Results
UPSC (also known as Union Public Service Commission) is an Indian organisation that conducts examinations to determine if candidates are eligible and can fill administrative positions across India and Central Service.
The organization was founded on October 1, 1926, and its headquarters is in Delhi. It conducts a national-level examination for 24 services under the State and Central Governments.
The Commission is responsible for selecting candidates for civil service posts per Section 320, Article 321 of the Indian Constitution.
The current UPSC exam was passed by 1,016 applicants with the right to appointment for an Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services Group A and B.
This year, Aditya Shrivastava was the highest scorer with AIR 1. Aditya graduated from IIT Kanpur and hailed from Lucknow, a city in Uttar Pradesh.
The preliminary exams of Civil Service were conducted on May 28, 2023. Then UPSC Mains followed. UPSC Mains was conducted on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24. The final stage of the examination, also known as the interview rounds, was held in various stages between January 2 and April 9, 2024.
According to the UPSC, 1,016 candidates passed the exam and were selected for various government positions. However, the eligibility of 355 candidates recommended for the exam remains in the process of being confirmed.
The prestigious exam was held subjectively during two shifts between September 15 and September 24. The CSE principal exam was held for three hours each shift, starting at 9 am and going through until two 3:00 pm.
