Hyundai Creta Facelift Launched, See Here Full Specs & Price

Hyundai creta facelift: Hyundai has made preparations for the launch of their new Creta 2024 on 16 January by opening bookings with a nominal payment of Rs 25,000 required.

Both exterior and interior changes should be noticeable; Hyundai provided a sneak peek into their cabin design as a preview.

Hyundai’s Creta takes a frank, minimalistic approach to its dashboard design this time. Notable are two 10.25-inch touchscreens and an updated user interface for touchscreen infotainment systems, which should prove an upgrade over the previous generation Cretas.

A digital instrument cluster modelled on the Alcazar will also be included.

Noteworthy improvements include a newly designed centre console featuring a revamped infotainment unit with touch controls, along with an updated climate control system with touch controls located directly underneath it.

Some may prefer this arrangement while some might not like how gear shift and storage areas have been modified and thin AC vents have been placed between climate control and infotainment components;

Nonetheless, features like backlit switches and four-spoke wheels remain as does its centre armrest – features that may appeal more to some drivers than others.

Hyundai announced it will offer seven Creta variants: E, EX S, S(O), SX Tech and SX(O). Each will offer one single-tone option and one dual-tone option, as well as three engine choices – 1.5L MPi Petrol Engine, 1.5L U2 CRDi diesel Engine, and 1.5L Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol Engines.

Hyundai Creta was among the highest-selling SUVs on India’s market for three consecutive years, garnering over 9.5 lakh customers since its release.

When released, this upcoming Creta will compete with models such as Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, as well as Kia Seltos MG Astor, Tata Harrier, Skoda Koshaq, Volkswagen Taigun models.

Hyundai Creta Facelift – Design

Spy photos reveal that the new Creta facelift features an updated exterior, including a revised grille and vertically stacked headlights.

In addition, new bumpers have been fitted at both ends, along with revised rear lamps and alloy wheels – giving this vehicle a completely fresh appearance.

International-spec Creta models even boast Tucson-inspired front fascias featuring parametric diamond grilles and vertically stacked headlamps.

Hyundai Creta Facelift – Powertrain

The 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine will continue to be used in the Creta 2023. The new engine will be the 1.5-litre turbo petrol that is now seen in the updated Seltos. It has 160PS and 253 Nm peak torque. This engine is available with 6iMT or 7DCT transmissions.

Hyundai Creta Facelift – Interior and Features

Interior redesign of vehicles could include dual-tone upholstery, a single panel containing a touchscreen infotainment system with all digital cluster display, air cleaner, wireless charging pads, leatherette material, powered and ventilated seats with Hifi system, as well as other features like telematics and dual-zone climate control.

Hyundai plans on equipping all Creta variants with six airbags as standard equipment, similar to other Hyundai models.

Hyundai may also include additional safety features as part of their standard offering – 360-degree sunroofs and panoramic roofs are likely, as well as features like ESP, traction, hill hold assistance, front/rear parking sensors with puddle lights as well as updates connected vehicle technology, paddle shifters and paddle shifters are expected in addition to these safety measures.

Hyundai Creta Facelift: Pricing

Current Creta prices range between Rs 10,87 lakh and Rs 19,20 lakh (ex-showroom), while its updated counterpart is expected to cost more.

It will compete against Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (facelift), Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor when launched.
