Madhya Pradesh Election 2023, Know That Who Can Win

Madhya Pradesh Election 2023 took place on Friday, November 17, in one single round across all 230 constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state. According to Election Commission of India data, voter turnout was 71.26% from these constituencies until 5 pm.

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, recorded 59.19% voter turnout, while Chhindwara saw a fantastic 88.55%. Damoh saw 73.83% voter participation, while Dhar had 72.359% voter participation.

Dindori registered a 78.30% voter turnout, with Datia having 69.95%, while Indore and Jhabua saw 64.959% voter participation levels, respectively.

Agar Malwa witnessed the highest voter participation at 82%, whereas Alirajpur had the lowest (66.24%).

Anupamrajan, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Electoral officer (CEO), was quoted by PTI as telling them that districts such as Bhopal and Alirajpur recorded the lowest voter turnout after 3 pm elections were completed.

Madhya Pradesh witnessed a voter turnout rate of 60.52 percent across all 230 seats of its assembly; until 1 pm, that figure had declined to 45.40 in total.

Madhya Pradesh assembly Election voting began at 7 am and ended at 6 pm; voting took place from 7 am-3 pm for Dindori and Balaghat districts, respectively. Madhya Pradesh contains three Naxal-affected sections: Balaghat Mandla Dindori.

Violence Was Reported In Madhya Pradesh During The Elections

Violence was reported at polling booths 147 and 148 of Dimani Assembly Constituency, Morghan District in Morena on Friday, according to news agency ANI. Stones were reportedly thrown in this area, injuring at least one individual.

Digvijaya said he had spoken to both the Collector and SP regarding the violence in Morena. According to SP, there had been some violence; however, everything is now peaceful, with voting going smoothly.

Digvijaya reported that a candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allegedly attacked one of her Congress workers while campaigning in Chhatarpur.

Singh reported: “There has been an accident between Rajnagar and Chhatarpur where one of our employees was run over by the car of one of the BJP candidates. To date, neither this vehicle nor the candidate has been confiscated by police, and no arrest has been made.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that police officials were being put under pressure.
