Squid Game Season 2 is coming. It’s true. It was confirmed that K-Drama will return in June 2024. This is not surprising, considering its popularity.
The world was captivated by the death-defying battle between wits, and it finally made some people aware of the amazing Korean content available to subscribers around the globe.
It’s been two years since Gi-Hun’s story was told in the first season finale. Fans have been wondering how much longer we will have to wait.

Squid Game Season 2: Release Date
Netflix has not yet confirmed any date and time for the release of the second season of Squid Game but you can expect it around Christmas 2024 since the shoots started in July 2023 and they will need about 10 months to get done with it.
Squid Game Season 2 Cast: Who is Returning for Squid Game Season 2?
Don’t expect to see many familiar faces, given the nature of Squid Games. All but one of the 456 participants in season 1 died. Seong Gihun, who made it out alive in the Mega-Millions game, was tempted to return after seeing another person recruited for this life-or-death game.
Wi Ha-jun is also returning as police detective Jun-ho. Gong Yoo returns to the role of the Recruiter.
There are also some new players, such as It’s Okay Not To Be Okay, Park Gyu Young, Kang Ae Sim, Lee David of Itaewon class, Lee Jin-uk of Sweet Homes, Choi Seung Hyun (aka TOP), Roh Ji-an, and DP Won Ji An.
This is a good mix of male and female actors, which should help to calm down the fans’ anger after the previous cast update, which had an all-male lineup of Yim Siwan, Kang Ha -neul and Park Sung-hoon.
The fact that women, just like men, will be able to be ritually killed in the second season’s deadly games is a great relief!
Former players, including actors Park Hae Soo, Oh Yeon Su and Jung Hoyeon, could make a possible comeback. But perhaps in flashbacks, as Gi-hun plays the games again, remembering those who have died.

Even with Gi-hun’s newfound riches, it is difficult to imagine that he could defeat the game creators. Not without getting dirty.
In the first season, he was able to avoid the guilt many people felt when they took a life because he did not, or at least not directly.
It’s hard to imagine that he would be so lucky a second time. It would add to the emotional journey he is about to take.
Gi-hun‘s mop of fiery red hair will make it impossible for him to sneak into any place undetected. Gi-hun’s naturally black hair was dyed bright red for an unspecified reason in the last episode.
He revealed that the conflict in season two is worthy of Star Wars. “I think that what he learned from the games, and his experiences in the first year, will be used in a more proactive manner in the second.”

Hwang Jun-ho, Wi Ha Jun’s policeman, was a wonderful way of introducing the “backend” of the game to the audience. So, Hwang Donghyuk can find a solution to save the other Hwang and investigate the origins of the game – or his brother’s role in it.
The biggest plot hole was the Front Man. If his brother had won the Squid Game, why did no one notice his sudden wealth?
Why did Jun-ho think his brother’s disappearance was mysterious now, if not a few years ago when he was busy winning games?
The cast will have to live up to the expectations of the first season, so we should expect at least something more extravagant.

The new video shows Gi-hun with his red hair on the hunt to find those responsible for the cruel games played in the first season.
A voice says, “You’ll be sorry for your decision,” after Gi-hun refuses to fly to the US to meet his daughter. He is determined to get justice for his teammates.
Gi-hun replied, “I will do whatever it takes to find you,” before hanging up the phone and leaving for the airport.
