Here Are Big Update on Virat Kohli, “That He will Play T20 World Cup or Not!”

Virat Kohli in T20 World Cup: The ANI reported that Virat Kohli – the former Indian captain who had been away from international cricket for the birth of his second child – is likely to be dropped from India’s T20 World Cup team. He is expected to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2024.

Reports suggest that Kohli must perform well on the field to be considered as part of India’s T20 World Cup squad in 2024.

It is unclear whether the player will be included in the squad. Power hitters such as Rinku Singh and Jitesh are more likely to make it. The current T20I strike rate of 138.15 is not in the former captain’s favor.

Kohli is also believed to have a difficult time playing on the pitches in West Indies. The West Indies are one of two co-hosts of the T20 World Cup West Indies and USA.

According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is in talks about Kohli’s role in the team. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed Rohit’s leadership of the T20 World Cup in the recent England Test Series but was non-committal about Kohli’s involvement. More news is expected on this matter soon.

Irfan Pathan, a former Indian all-rounder who weighed in on the issue, told News18 that any Indian team without Virat would be incomplete. Pathan cited Kohli’s ability to deliver under pressure as the key factor in his selection.

The Indian T20 World Cup team will be announced early in May during the IPL season 2024. Dewey Day is fast approaching, and speculation about Kohli’s performance during the IPL 2024 season is rampant.

‘Rohit Said That We Must Have Virat Kohli For The T20 World Cup At All Costs.’

The Telegraph’s report that Virat Kohli could be omitted from India’s T20 World Cup team spread like wildfire. The 1983 World Cup champion states that Rohit Sharma told BCCI Secretary Jay Shah that his team needed Kohli at “any cost.”

The Telegraph reported that BCCI selectors believed Kohli had not been performing at his best during the T20 format.

The T20 World Cup begins shortly after the IPL ends. West Indies will host the premier T20I event from 2 to June 29. India hasn’t won an ICC tournament since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Azad, in response to claims that Kohli could be excluded from the T20 World Cup in a microblogging site called ‘X,’ wrote a blog post saying, “nincompoops shouldn’t involve themselves in selection processes” without taking a person’s name.

He stated that former India pacer Ajit Agarkar, the chief selector of the team, was “given a time limit until March 15,” but “if you believe sources, Ajit Agarkar wasn’t able to convince either himself or other selectors.”

Azad noted that Rohit had told Shah his opinion in no uncertain words and wanted Kohli to be in the team.

“Jay Shah also asked Rohit Sharma, but Rohit replied that we needed Virat Kohli no matter what. Azad wrote that Virat Kohli would play in the T20 World Cup. The official announcement of his participation will come before the selection of the team.

Kohli has taken a break from his five-Test series at home against England to give birth to his second child. He will be back in action with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the IPL starting March 22.
