MS Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings, has begun preparing for the Indian Premier League. Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who will likely play his final IPL season this year, was spotted practising on a net.

According to several reports, the 17th season of the lucrative league will start in the last week of March 2024.

The video of Dhoni preparing for the tournament is causing a stir among Dhoni fans, even though there have been no official confirmations.

In a video circulating on social media, you can see the five-time IPL champion captain training in nets. The 42-year-old wore his trademark yellow pads, blue helmet, and a black tee shirt.

The CSK fans were delighted by the video, as there had been speculation that Ranchi would end his IPL career at the end of the 2023 season.

Kasi Viswanathan Gives An Update On MS Dhoni

Kasi Viswanathan, CEO of CSK, recently updated the public on Dhoni’s participation in 2024. After the IPL 2023 ended, the 2011 World Cup-winning captain had knee surgery.

This led to concerns about his involvement in the upcoming season. Dhoni was on the franchise’s list of retained players before the tournament, ending all the rumours.

Visvanathan stated, “He is doing very well.” He has begun his rehabilitation. He began working in the gymnasium. In ten more days, he will also start working with the nets.”

“We plan to have a camp by the first week in March. The IPL is expected to begin on the 22nd March. We will be in our first camp within the first week of Chennai.”
