India win in a Exciting Match & Seizing 14th T20I Series

IND vs AUS: Spinners Axar Bishnoi and Ravi Bishnoi & India win with an 18-run victory against Australia at Raipur after Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma set them a target of 175, which Australia had to chase after scoring 174/9 from their 20 overs before restricting Australia to just 154/7 from their innings.

Now in control, India has established an unassailable 3-1 lead with only one match remaining. Matthew Wade won the toss and decided to bowl first; both teams made changes – India four and Australia five.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal shared in a 50-run partnership during the opening overs before one was out at the last ball of the powerplay.

India suffered setbacks when Suryakumar, Shreyas, and Iyer fell within a few balls of each other before Rinku Singh led an unlikely comeback with a 48-run stand that came from 31 deliveries with Gaikwad as fourth wicket partner.

Jitesh Sharma kept up with Rinku’s strike rate. Together, the pair put on 56 for the fifth wicket off 32 balls – before India’s innings collapsed into an anemic cricketing performance;

Ben Dwarshuis took two wickets while Jason Behrendorff also claimed two.

Rinku was out after 29 deliveries at 46 off 29; Deepak Chahar was run out off the third ball, followed by Ravi Bishnoi on the last delivery from Behrendorff’s over. India finished on 174/9 after 20 overs.

Travis Head gave Australia an early lead when he scored 22 runs off Deepak Chahar’s third over. India’s spinners Ravi Bishnoi (left) and Axar Patel (right) turned things around by taking wickets within their first five overs, helping restore order in their favor.

Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, and Deepak Chahar kept up the pressure during their four overs of bowling to restrict Australia to just 154/7 and win by 20 runs for India, thus securing victory in both this match and the series victory.

Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi Helped IND Win By 20 Runs To Seal The Series At Raipur

Spinners were instrumental in turning the tide during middle overs, turning this match into an uphill chase for India. Like India’s initial innings performance, the batters started but did not progress to score substantial runs.

India won the series with their win today. While fans might feel slightly bittersweet after what happened a couple of days earlier, modern cricket is all about enjoying every momentous victory like this one, and congratulations to the Indian youth and coaching staff on an outstanding game of cricket!

Player of the Match Axar Patel

At home, I tried out many new techniques that worked perfectly today. I focused on playing to my strengths without worrying if anyone hit me; bowling stump-to-stump counteracted any dew factor issues.

At this level of cricket, there is much opportunity to be hit. To stay safe and feel more at ease during a match, approach it to take wickets.

I focused on myself during an injury-related break by adding new variations to my bowling style to remain successful at the highest levels.

Indian Capatin Surya Kumar Yadav

Everything went as planned except for the toss, which we were particularly concerned about. The boys displayed tremendous character, which we felt was important.

At our meeting before the game, we told the boys they should show courage and go out there and display it. Axar bowled incredibly accurately while I enjoyed pressuring him to bowl Yorkers during deathovers and see what would happen.

Australian Captain Matthew Wade

“We just did not play spin very well, losing several wickets here and there in the middle as well. All our replacement players did an exceptional job.

Unfortunately, they could not deliver scoring runs with our batters. With the T20 World Cup approaching, we must learn from those already established.”
