See Here What Are New Features in Amrit Bharat Express Trains?

Railway officials confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil two Amrit-Bharat Express trains equipped with modern technology on December 30 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh are provided to ensure passengers do not experience any jerks while travelling between Darbhanga in Bihar and Anand Vihar, Delhi via Ayodhya, Malda Town in West Bengal and Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus at Bengaluru.

These Amrit Bharat trains use semi-couplers, ensuring smooth rides at speeds up to 130 km per hour between various destinations at rates up to 130 km per hour.

This new technology uses two coaches joined with an automatic coupler so passengers don’t feel the jerk when their train stops and starts.

Previous technology involved connecting each coach using a coupler; this caused passengers to experience an unpleasant jolt every time the parade started or stopped.

Amrit Bharat trains use a semi-permanent coupling that eliminates the jerk effect, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw while inspecting it at New Delhi station. “This solution is safer for train operations as well,” she noted.

A train has two engines – one at the front and another in the rear – each providing different services; for instance, one pulls and pushes, respectively.

Vaishnaw noted that modifications had been made to the train to incorporate push-pull technology, enabling better acceleration and deceleration.

He noted that proper acceleration and deceleration save time on bridges, in curves, or anywhere where trains must travel at limited speeds.

As detailed in a circular from the railway, this model boasts numerous other features such as horizontally sliding windows and wider gangways with dust-sealed doors, dust suppression in toilets and electric cubicles, disaster management emergency light systems using aerosols in bathrooms, fluorescent floor strips that guide passengers, bench-type designs on LWS coaches with sliding doors to separate reserved and non-reserved coaches, among other amenities.

On December 30, India’s Amrit Bharat Express will be unveiled, marking an important step forward for India’s rail infrastructure.
