244 People Arrested
In the past three days, UP Police arrested or detained 244 people. The suspects were accused of cheating, or planning to cheat, in the police constable examination.
These arrests were made between February 15 and 18, 6 pm. The recruitment test was held between February 17 and 18,
According to police headquarters, the arrests and detentions of these individuals were carried out by district police and Special Task Force units (STF) with local intelligence.
The arrested or detained suspects are being interrogated following filing an FIR. Prashant Kumar, Uttar Pradesh’s police chief, said that people and gangs who use unfair methods (in exams) would be caught and harsh action taken against them.
