In order to minimize crowding, the temple trust has requested that Indians refrain from visiting Ayodhya prior to its opening on April 18, as this would cause poor management. Ram Mandir Construction Completed

Nripendra Mandir, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, announced on December 30, 2023, to the media that Ram Temple construction will be completed in phases, with Phase I consisting of the completion of five pavilions and ground floor before opening to public access.

Back in history, Mughal ruler Babur built the Babri Masjid from 1528 to 1529 under pressure from Hindus, claiming Lord Ram’s place was there and therefore claimed ownership over it.

Location was in contention, and an extended legal battle ensued, culminating in a landmark Supreme Court ruling recognizing 2,77 acres as Lord Ram’s original birthplace – thus clearing the path for Ram Mandir construction to begin.
