Indian Captain and Man of The Match। Rohit Sharma

When was the last I heard of this? I batted three times in an IPL game. We (Rinku) talked to each other about how important it was to create a partnership. It was also important to keep the same intent when playing big games.

His bat skills were displayed in the last two series he played. He is calm and knows how to use his strengths. He has performed well for India and is a young man doing the right thing. Augur is a good fit for the Indian team in the future. We wanted someone with his experience at the backend.

Players of the Series

Shivam Dube: “As an allrounder, you always want the Player of the Series award. This is a new achievement in my life. It feels great.”

The ground was good, and we were confident we’d win, but cricket is unpredictable, and both teams deserve congratulations. “There are many things that I would like to improve on, particularly my bowling. I am trying to improve with every game.”

AFG skipper pleased with overall performance

Ibrahim Zadran: We are satisfied with the overall performance. Unfortunately, we lost the super over despite playing good cricket. This series has taught us a lot and will be useful in the T20 World Cup.

These three games were played with the best effort by our boys. This was the first time we played T20 cricket like this, especially against India. I am really happy. We’ll take the positives and work on improving in the T20 World Cup.
