“Kantara A Legend Chapter 1” promised its makers that it would offer an intense yet divine cinematic experience. Hombale Films, following their tremendous success of last year’s “Kantara: A Legend”, is set to dazzle audiences once again with “Kantara Chapter 1”, Rishab Shetty’s directorial 2022 sequel. 

This first-look teaser sheds light on the legend behind Kantara. Beginning with an epic roar heard throughout Kantara, Rishab Shetty plays Shivan, who can be seen running through the forest holding a torch in subsequent frames.

Shiva appears soon afterwards at the centre of a fiery circle, as we hear narration stating: “Light!” Light makes everything visible, yet this vision does not correspond with light as such. Rishab looks at the full moon while listening to its narration. 

Rishab Shetty stares into its light as its narrator says, “the light which illuminates both past and future”. Is the light visible? Cut to a frame that reads, “During Kadambas’ reign”, the ancient Karnataka royal family, “a legendary was created.” 

We get our first glimpse at Rishab Shetty, who now sports silver bands and rudraksha on his arms along with trishul and long, messy locks that add drama to his new look.

Eventually, Rishab looks straight into the camera at its conclusion – sure to give viewers goosebumps from seeing his fiery eyes.

Kantara Chapter 1 teaser and first look have been unveiled, and feature actor-director Rishab Shetty, in an unsettling yet captivating look, provides viewers with a glimpse into his world as a director and actor.

Furthermore, this first glimpse allows viewers to enter Rishab’s character, who plays both director and actor roles, creating an atmosphere full of suspense for audiences watching Kantara Chapter 1.

The teaser concludes with a unique twist: seven different ragas representing each of the seven languages where Kantara Chapter One will be available.

Hombale Films’ “Kantara”, an engaging folklore-based tale that explored the complex relationship between nature and humanity, quickly made waves across global cinematic scenes last year.

With Chapter 1, Hombale continues its tradition of providing pan-Indian cinematic experiences by reinventing divinity with this groundbreaking film.

Kantara Chapter 1 Release Date: Kantara Chapter 1 will be released worldwide next year, and filming begins towards the end of December. While its cast remains unknown, its first trailer teases an exceptional storytelling journey.

Rishab Shetty will direct Kantara a Legend Chapter-1 for Hombale Films. This pan-Indian movie will be available in seven languages: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and English.

Rishab Shetty shared this poster when announcing the Kantara A Legend Chapter-1 Teaser Poster release. He wrote on its caption page, “Enter into a world of Divine…Presenting Kantara chapter 1 first look & teaser in seven languages!”
