She took to Instagram and announced that she was fine and that this was done to spread awareness for cervical Cancer, an issue that has claimed multiple lives.

Poonam Pandey chose a different approach to raise awareness about cervical Cancer. On February 2, news circulated that the model-actor had died due to Cancer.
Contrary to the earlier report, it has now been disclosed on February 3 that Poonam is well and in good health.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Nasha’ actor wrote, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive.
Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease.
Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests.
We have the means to ensure no one loses their life to this disease. Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take.

On Saturday noon, Poonam took to her Instagram handle to share a video, along with which she penned a note stating that though cervical Cancer did not kill her, the disease has claimed countless other lives. She wished to use her reach and create awareness for the same.
She went on to say, “Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests.
