PM Modi, visited Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday ahead of the planned consecration of Ram Temple scheduled for 22 January.

Modi announced various development projects and inaugurated trains and an airport. To be welcomed by many residents, he conducted a roadshow between the airport and the railway station, which all attendees received with great zeal.

PM Modi also extended his greetings from his car, waving back at those he met from time to time and, at one point, opening his door and waving at them as people showered him with flower petals or waved BJP flags in his honour. People showed appreciation by showering him with praise, scattering petals, or waving flags.

Updates on PM Modi’s Ayodhya Visit

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for multiple development projects in the state worth over Rs 15,700 crore.
• The total funds will be divided between Rs 11,100 crore for Ayodhya, its surroundings, and other projects in Uttar Pradesh, which is Rs 4,600 crore.

• PM Modi inaugurated Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
• The terminal building at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport will be 6,500 sqm and equipped to handle about 10 lakh passengers annually.
• Modi opened the newly redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station. Adityanath, Ashwini Vaishnaw of the Railway Ministry, and other officials accompanied him.

• Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station Phase I has been completed for a cost exceeding Rs240 crore.
• The three-storey building houses features like lifts, escalators and food plazas. It also has shops that sell puja supplies, cloakrooms for children, waiting rooms and childcare areas.

• PM Modi also flagged off two Amrit Bharat trains–the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express.

• PM Modi has also announced six Vande Bharat Trains from Ayodhya Dham Station. The Vande Bharat Express includes the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express and the Amritsar – Delhi Vande Bharat Express.
• The visit of the Prime Minister comes ahead of the ‘pran Pratishtha,’ or consecration of the Ram Temple, scheduled for 22 January.
