Kohli and Anushka announced their daughter Vamika was expecting on Thursday, February 15. Additionally, they requested privacy at this time.

In 2021, 35-year-old Kohli became a father for the first time following Anushka’s announcement of her pregnancy in 2020.
Kohli then took a break from the Test series against Australia after playing at Adelaide Oval; Ajinkya Rahane guided India to victory and secured a 2-1 series win without his presence.
Last month, Kohli chose not to play in England’s first two test matches for ‘personal reasons,’ Rajat Patidar was his replacement in the squad for each subsequent three-test series against Ben Stokes’s men. Kohli never made it back for any of them, either.
Kohli last played cricket in the T20I series against Afghanistan in January. He is expected to return for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), led by Faf du Plessis.
Kohli will play an instrumental role in leading Team India at the T20 World Cup, which is set to take place later this year in the West Indies and the USA.

AB de Villiers Prediction Became Right
Early this month, longtime Roya Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villiers revealed on YouTube that Kohli and de Villers are expecting their second child together. De Villers shared excerpts from texts between himself and Kohli about this exciting news.
“So I wrote to him, ‘Been wanting to check in with you (sic) for a while now, biscuits. How are you?’. He said, ‘I need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.’. Yes, his second child is on the way.”
But in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar later that same month, de Villiers conceded he made an “immense miscalculation at that time, spreading false information that wasn’t accurate. Whatever’s best for Virat’s family comes first – no matter what’s going on behind closed doors, all I can do is wish him well.”
Last month, when India released their squad for the first two of five Tests against England, the BCCI made it known that Kohli would miss Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam for “personal reasons.”
